There are but a few things in this beautiful world that bind us together as one; food, drink, dance, and music and my goal is to showcase the astounding beauty and sonic resonance from far off lands and in our own back yard. Let's get lost in the music and I mean that very seriously. Every episode in this sonic travel blog features original music played on authentic instruments.
One day, someday hopefully soon, we will go to the countries these amazing instruments come from to see and hear the places and faces that create such beautiful and exotic sounds. From the Didgeridoo to the Duduk, each instrument tells a story and each person has a tale to tell. But for now we will explore world music instruments from our collection and from the local world.
What inspires you? As one song says, what good is living the life you've been given if all you do is stand in one place. Let's go. Anthony Bourdain once said, "If I'm an advocate for anything, it's to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. Walk in someone else's shoes or at least eat their food. It's a plus for everybody."
